Message from our CEO/President

I hope this letter finds you well, even during this unprecedented and uncertain time. I would like to thank our clients, families and donors in advance for your support, patience, flexibility, and understanding throughout this time. 

While this year has brought new challenges to providing support, rest assured, we have successfully made the transition to an effective virtual learning environment. Your support has made a tremendous difference in helping us make the transition and to alleviate the isolation experienced for our clients during this time.

Though we are certain these challenges are not over, we are confident that we have made significant positive changes and are poised to meet and succeed at any new challenges the rest of the year may bring.

Our successes include:
~ The provision of 125 Wi-Fi enabled tablets for our clients to access online classes
~ The creation of our Learning Library, on Google Suite, with 60 interactive lesson plans
~ Providing tablets for all direct support professionals to connect remotely for client instruction and communication with their supervisor and notes
~ Purchase of eight laptops for direct support professionals to facilitate Zoom classes

We are proud to inform you about our innovations. The Arc of the East Bay is committing itself to bridging the digital divide by utilizing technology to deliver the best possible service.
