Oak Tree Racing Donates to Arc

Volunteer Silva Orchestrates a Fun Day!

We knew good things would happen when Bob Silva became a volunteer at The Arc. Bob, a member of The Rotary Club of Pleasanton which gave us a grant to start the Livermore LifeLinks Golf program , first signed up in 2014 as a LifeLinks coach.  Then in  2016 he joined the committee to help plan the “Bogey Bash” golf fundraiser.  Most recently, as a member of the Alameda County Fair Board of Directors, he submitted our name to Oak Tree Racing to receive one of the donations Oak Tree awards to local non profit agencies during the Fair.  The request was granted and we received a $2000 check on June 24th.

Some 30 clients and staff – all in their red golf shirts and white caps – were on hand in the winners circle at the race track that day to help accept the award.   Mr. Silva also donated lunch for everyone which we enjoyed at Bridle Path picnic area next to the track.
