Brothers and sisters (sibs) have the longest relationship of anyone in the lives of individuals with disabilities. Collectively, sibs have a wealth of knowledge about how to best support their brothers and sisters.
When it comes to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, siblings are taking over the support role traditionally performed by parents. The California Sibling Leadership Network has formed a network of sibs to make that job easier by sharing information and ensuring their voices are heard locally as well as at the state and federal level. There’s always room for more!
