The Arc of Alameda County’s most noted artist, Michael Joiner, joined some 25 of his artist colleagues for a gallery show in Hayward April 28 – May 13, 2016.  The Show, titled “Works of Arc,” were featured at the Foothill Gallery, on Foothill Road.

Family members, Arc staff and Hayward artists and art patrons attended a “meet and greet” with the Arc artists at a special reception on Saturday, April 30th.  The Director of the Hayward Art Council noted that not only did our reception have the highest number of people attending but also the highest sales and number of pieces sold during the 2 hour opening reception.

Two local artists purchased some of our clients’ pieces – showcasing the fact that the works were exceptional enough for them to purchase the original not the less expensive card or photo insert.

The exhibit was covered in the Tri-City Voice Newspaper serving Fremont, Hayward, Milpitas, Newark, Sunol and Union city.  Read the article by clicking here.

The Arc’s art program for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is partially underwritten by the California Arts Council and the National Arts and Disability Center.  Your support is greatly appreciated to supplement our program  Please view our “Art Program Wish List.”
