A Record $30K Raised at “The Bash”
The Arc of Alameda County’s 7th annual “Bogey Bash” golf tournament was a huge success. Held May 9, 2016 at Castlewood County Club in Pleasanton, the event almost doubled the amount raised the year before.
Highlights of the day included the scotch tasting on hole #17 hosted by a gentleman in full Scottish garb – complete with a kilt, Famous Dave’s BBQ served up a “pork slider in a cup” that was fantastic, and The Beer Baron along with The 21st Amendment quenched our thirst.
We also had pizza from Paxti, Mexican food from Freebirds, and Seafood from Scott’s. Pepsi donated cola, Finestra donated wine and The Arc provided the margaritas. Needless to say, golfers didn’t go hungry (or thirsty).
Arc clients, who are part of the LifeLinks golf program, putted for the golf teams on hole #9 as the foursomes came through and Rick Gross an Ameriprise agent in Pleasanton ran a contest to see who could hit a marshmallow the farthest.
Thanks to our event sponsors who made it all possible!
