We are disappointed to share that Elected for Inclusion: A Presidential Forum on Disability has been postponed due to the timing of the January Democratic presidential debate, the impeachment proceedings in the Senate and other factors. A statement from organizers, the American Association of People with Disabilities and REV UP Texas, can be found here.
We remain committed to engaging candidates about issues of importance to people with disabilities. We are so grateful to all of the chapters and advocates who have been planning watch parties and are looking forward to working together to make the forum a success when a new date is set.
Presidential candidates have been invited to a forum to talk about where they stand on issues that matter to people with disabilities. The forum is organized through the American Association of People with Disabilities’ REV UP campaign and sponsored by The Arc. The forum will be an invaluable opportunity to learn about candidates’ stances on disability issues.
